Financial Literacy for Youth is a new program from the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) and New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) that teaches New York City public school students how to manage money wisely. School districts will work with financial educators to provide free financial counseling and workshops to students and their families.

Financial Literacy for Youth will also introduce an In-School Banking Pilot Program for students and their families, provide workshops on best banking practices, and, when possible, connect students to career development opportunities in the financial sector.
