The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) creates reports on its response to fire and other emergency incidents occurring within New York City.

FDNY does not maintain records for incidents occurring outside of the City.

You can request a:

  • Fire Incident Report that shows the details of a response to a fire or other emergency incident (including non-fire emergencies).
  • Fire Incidents Special Report that shows a list of all Fire Incident Reports associated with a property.
  • Fire Marshal Investigation Report that shows the findings of a fire investigation. Please note that the Bureau of Fire Investigation typically only investigates complex, fatal, and suspicious fires.

More information, including request forms, is available online.
